On a late August trip to Cottonwood Lakes I noticed these eggs in a shallow creek flowing in the swampy meadow between Cottonwood Lakes #1 & #2. The water was slow moving, about 6" deep, and there are frogs in the marsh, but fish in the adjoining lakes.
I provide my hand for scale; my pinky is just above the water's surface. The egg cluster is about 1" long; the egg bodies colorless and translucent; the yolks, soft white-yellowish. There is a mucus-like medium encapsulating the cluster. The image colors are close to actual color heat @ early afternoon.

Frog eggs.
If you don't know where you're going, then any path will get you there.
