Not really, just thought that would grab your attention and then I could share some San Luis Obispo County photography with you. These are all within the last month.

Mountaineer, thanks for reminding me of the other beautiful places in CA other than the mountains! I went through the Carrizo plane during my first winter term at University of the Pacific, a class on the San Andreas fault, which was during my Geology major years. Spectacular landscape from a geologic standpoint. I also have the only surviving picture of my last motorcycle with Morro Rock in the background on a trip through there. Good memories. Is that Morro Rock in the background, sticking above the fog?
Thanks also for reminding me what a crappy photographer I am!!!!!

Just got back from Shell Creek. Very little green grass. What is green is only 2-3" high and already starting to dry. It is all hidden by the tall dry grass that is still standing from last season. A few of those tiny little yellow flowers scattered here and there but not much else. Hiked through the field and didn't see any poppy plants pokin up.trailblazer wrote:Awesome shots mountaineer. Do you know how carrizo and/or shell creek are shaping up for spring? I'd guess dry as a bone but I may head down there anyway
Who knows though, we might be surprised. I'll keep you posted every 2-3 weeks.
