Rehab wk 1: Sat afternoon SnowDude took me to Mono Lake for a short walk and to get some fresh air. It was good to get out.

Rehab: A week after surgery, the only thing I'm climbing is the walls. SnowDude drove us to Eureka Sand Dunes so I could get out, and I was able to hike to one of the lower dunes, maybe a mile or so. It felt good to get out. We drove to Beatty, NV for the night. (wk 158)

we hiked to the first bump in front from parking area on left of photo (not in pic)

Wellobviously I've been under a rock! I had no idea you were taken ill. I am sure you will recoup fast. Indeed I never could yet figure out how you manage to be in so many places in a single summer! Best wishes Snow Nymph!

Duane, going to Mammoth. Nicer to sit by the fireplace than listen to city noise in LA.

B, needs pedals too!

Rehab Week 2: I asked SnowDude to drop me off at Convict Lake while he snowboarded. I carried a small pack and walked slowly around the lake. The south side was a little icy on slopey trail, so I turned back. I walked to the Restaurant at Convict Lake, and even tho they didn't open for another 1.5 hrs, they let me sit in the bar while waiting for SnowDude. I had 2 glasses of wine before he got there. We had dinner there for his birthday. Awesome food as always

I like that first pic of Convict Lake.

I was hoping you were coming WAY north, maybe could have had some coffee or whatever and tried to reach madeintahoe, who I haven't met, but email some.:(
Piece of cake.
