I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Due to a brush fire, U.S. 395 is CLOSED from Lee Vining to State Route 167 in Mono County. There is no estimated time of reopening. We could have used 120 through Yosemite too, rather than the onerous detour through Hawthorne and Hwy 167. We heard that today 5/26, cars would also be allowed with an escort.
It seemed to us that all structures had been saved around Mono City, and the surrounding environs-- not sure, hope so.
It made for a cool sunset:
