Wow. What a nifty and creative route to work out for a 5-day trip! I like the touch of going over a high point (Parsons Pk) as part of a route. Sometimes the best route does cross a high point like that.

This report and the photos are awesome - and timely! I somehow had missed it over the past several days. My husband and I were on our patio last night talking about what we wanted to do for our second week-long trip this season, and a variation of this was on our list. Great trip Victor, You humbly refrain from stating what must have been some pretty long mileages. I wonder if you saw any sign of the Sierra Bighorn Sheep that were relocated to the Parson's Peak area?
The bird (s?) you saw was a Ptarmigan. What other animals did you see along the way? Thanks for a very nicely done TR, we love that map format. Ian.

I just heard you on "The Trail Show" and did a search for the trip report that I was sure I would find here. Nice. I don't know if my decrepit body can handle this route anymore, but I'll have several months to plan and imagine before next hiking season.
