Suggestion:
Eric, would it be possible, or would you consider having the Announcements only in their own forum? It seems a bit redundant for them to head every other forum. Maybe just 'stickys' relevant to the individual forums themselves? Although a minor thing, it's nice to see new posts/threads when going to a forum without having to scroll down.
I admin a small private MTB website (which also uses a phpBB format), incidentally.

Re: "Announcements"
Not all announcements are global (i.e. posted in announcements section within all forums). Some are only located within specific forms. Only those announcements that are considered important are intended to be set as global; but possibly I should clean things up a bit to insure that's really the case. Thanks for the feedback.

I like the idea of getting rid of some of the older announcements, too. Sometimes it seems to take forever to get to the actual forum. No big deal, though, really. If happen to have time...

Re: "Announcements"
Specifically, which ones would you consider to be old AND not still relevant to new members? I've done some cleaning up already, but I'm hesitant to move anything that's left.BSquared wrote:I like the idea of getting rid of some of the older announcements, too. Re: "Announcements"
Actually, it looks to me like you've done a pretty good job cleaning up. There are only 4 or 5 announcements for most groups, and they all seem relevant. I hadn't been putting myself in the position of someone new to the board, and if I do that, all those announcements seem fine. Thanks!
