whats in your headphones?

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

If you don't know where you're going, then any path will get you there.

Good ol' Grateful Dead, To Lay Me Down ..somewhere, lost and dreaming in a sky meadow...

Jim Croce cover of Son's of the Pioneer's Cigarettes, Whiskey and Wild Women (in that bar along Hwy 395 in Independence, back in the day). I do declare Croce's cover is much finer than the original artists' recording.

Prophetic and Ironic, this Croce recording was posthumously released: Photographs and Memories.

One of my favorites for late night drives on Hwy 395, The Wheel, by Gerry Garcia.

Or perhaps in a bigger Rush to get there (Dreamline, by Rush).

Even better yet, the ultimate drive time tune by Nelson Riddle, Route 66 Theme.

Trademark, by Eric Johnson - another nice drive time composition I like to listen to on my way to snow trips.

Given the weather lately. Seriously, I'm expecting salmon to spawn at any minute on the gravel on my driveway.
