Thanks for the report and excellent photos. What a great reminder of how beautiful this area is. I spent a couple of weeks in Dusy Basin in 2010 on a USFS field crew doing mountain yellow legged frog surveys, and your photos bring back fond memories of both Dusy and Palisade Basins.

The only time I predictably have mosquito issue in the upper basins of Bishop Creek and the high basins east of the Palisades escarpment is May - June. But a snowpack lingering into summer every so often can also cause the bugs issues later into the season.
