Thanks, I've seen your web site and enjoyed your trip reports!

I've done a handful of trips out of the Lodgepole area before so I've got to travel a bit further now to explore new areas. Ideally, there would have had another day for exploring the Nine Lake Basin but I treated it as reconnaissance for a week-long trip in the future. There were some longer days but it never felt rushed. My strategy on these three-night trips is to keep my gear simple and travel a steady pace. That said, day 3 (Nine Lake to Bearpaw) was a long haul!

We're just back from a couple of days up McGee Creek, and we were wiped out after 7 miles up.

Admittedly, we are both recovering from COVID, so hope that will not always be the case!.
