Chilnualna creek

Post by fpb56 »

I’m setting off for a week in mid July in Yosemite. I was wondering if there is a bridge that crosses Chilnualna Creed where the trail crosses it about a mile above the falls? A few years ago after those heavy snows I had to turn back at Lyell Fork on the upper trail because of flow. Any thoughts out there?

I don't remember either crossing having a bridge and don't see them on Google Earth either. the crossing at 37.56579, -119.60807 doesn't get much traffic. the higher elevation one at 37.58356, -119.58450 is probably a safer bet early in the season.

I don't remember any bridges in that area. Of course, that was when things were dry. There was just a trickle coming over the waterfall.

Ok thanks, I’ll keep an eye on the snow levels and run off.
