BLM land near Lake Isabella. :)

Local drama of the morning - BLM cut down a dying tree along the side of a road, a local retiree was loading wood into his pickup shell and started yelling and insulting someone else who showed up to do the same. One of the BLM workers had to come up and supervise, which is good because it escalated to the local pulling aside his jacket and putting his hand on a holster wild west style while the newcomer’s two kids watched. Sort of fits my idea of the area.
