STOCKTON – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will temporarily close State Route 4 (SR-4)/Ebbetts Pass, SR-89/Montior Pass and SR-108/Sonora Pass in advance of inclement weather expected to arrive in the area later this week.
With snowfall predicted to impact the mountain region in the next few days, Caltrans will perform the following, temporary pass closures to ensure the safety of motorists:
• SR-4/Ebbetts Pass and SR-108/Sonora Pass will both be closed at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, October 7, 2021.
• State Route 89/Monitor Pass will be closed at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2021.
• Maintenance crews will monitor the highways and passes during the storm and re-evaluate for possible opening of the passes on Saturday, October 9, 2021.
• No other pass or highway closures are planned at this time. For updates, please visit www.quickmap.ca.gov for highway conditions and closure details.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
