4th Matthew Greene Search 9/4-9/8/19

A forum to initiate member meet-up. Looking for a hiking/climbing/fishing/skiing/etc. partner, or are you planning a trip where you wouldn't mind having some company? Last minute invites can be just as fun as a well-planned group trip (sometimes even better) so don't be shy! And be sure to post a trip report to the appropriate forum when you get back.

FYI. Alpinist #80 is out and available to order online and in book stores. It’s probably far more available to you all out West than here in Pa.

As of right now, the story is only Available in print. That’s not my call. They want to sell print. The magazine does put a couple of stories online and I’ve argued that Matthew’s story, being a missing persons case that can use more eyes, should be among them. You can ask them to put it online at editor@alpinist.com.

Thanks, Jason, for the heads up. Ordered. :)

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Just finished reading it. The intertwining of personal grief and the grief of others was heart wrenching.

Hey Jason, I just read your article (via PDF) and really enjoyed your skillful writing which really captures the essence of the search(es) for Matthew.
Bravo.

PS. I also realized how much I miss Alpinist magazine which I had subscribed to many years ago.

Jason, I finally got a chance to read your article. Thanks for writing about Matthew and sharing your personal journey.

It really made me yearn to get back into the Minarets and look for Matthew.
