North Fork Big Pine Permit

When I was at the Bishop Ranger Station a couple weeks ago, they opened the doors and first announcement to the line of people waiting was that Big Pines North Fork was not available. I assume that the previous day's wave of visitors took the 11am next day permits quite quick.

We were there a week and a half ago and same-day permits for North Fork Big Pine were all taken, but we waited until 11 and got next day permits. My son and his friend just went out on Thursday and they were not able to get same-day permits for North Fork Big Pine (they were were waiting in line before opening). They ended up getting North Lake permits instead of waiting until 11 for next day.
