On Saturday July 11th shortly after midnight, Inyo County Sheriff's Dispatch was notified that Patrick Keating, a 67 year old male from the Bay Area, was suffering from potential hypothermia after falling into a creek at the top of Taboose Pass.
Eight members of the Inyo County SAR team responded, and California Highway patrol helicopter H-40 out of Fresno was contacted and placed on standby to assist if needed.
Shortly after 1:00pm Keating was located approximately one half mile east of Taboose Pass. Keating was assisted by SAR members to the trail head with-out incident.
A big thank you goes out to our volunteer SAR members!

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
