Thanks mav, I did search on Pretty Pass but it didn't bring that one up for me. Good to see, though. Sounds like I need to choose my route carefully on Pretty Pass. Pretty Pass: nothing super difficult, a little loose, a little steep, but nothing unusual. I didn't descend the west side of the pass down to franklin lake. Just the convict creek side up and down.
