I couldn't stop taking photos of this granite spire!
I took this photo while leaning out of my tent immediately after an intense thunderstorm. It was the only time I've ever had my hair stand on end during a storm! Scary! We were camped near Muriel Lake.
My husband took this one of Goethe Lake in late July.

My brother caught a big 18 in hen rainbow in the lake near where you took your pic. The unnamed spire looks even more dramatic from the level granite sand bench we've named "The Baseball Field" a bit south of this position. Arguably one of the best looking peaks without a name in the High Sierra and one my lips are sealed as to where. ...David
