My new 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser!
Didn't know if this was "new gear" or "other sports", so I'll stick it here.
I'm stoked! http://rides.webshots.com/album/555446227wbIiGw

Took it out last weekend (3 days old) and now, a week later it has 800 miles on it. I got some desert pin stripes, but took it in to get the Extra Guard Sealant put on, and they got most of the scratches out. Drove thru deep sand and washes, and used the lockers to drive UP the side of a wash when it kinda dead-ended. It just crawled right up the side, no problem! The FJ rides smoothe, and the 9 speakers/subwoofer rocks! I've never had a stereo that sounded this good! Lots of arm/elbow room in the front. The back seats fold down but not flat. It works out for me since I'm short, and my hip fits right where the bump is and the seat folds down. So I fit perfect and can sleep comfortably. Did I mention that I my new FJ Cooler?

When I lived in Hawthorne (NV), I could go thru the base to a small sand dune with my fiberglass body dune buggy, pickup style, pull up to the sand and let the rear Dunlop GT Qualifiers down to about 3 lbs and go anywhere on the dune. With the turning brakes I could go across the hill then turn straight uphill. Neat. Rad, cool. Whatever.
Piece of cake.

Glad to hear you are happy with your new "TOY" I thought you and Snow Dude would have his and hers Jeeps. Or, are you working on getting him a Toyota?
I hope it takes you on many new and exciting adventures!
Side note for hikerduane: When did you live in Hawthorne? I live there for a while, in the early 80's.
