I'd appreciate a little help from the community here. I recently completed
a North Rim hike from Olmstead Point to Rockslides (great hike -- let me know
if you want the details). However, in my rush to getting back to my family vacation
that was already in progress in San Francisco, I left a small backpack ("school" sized)
in a bear locker in the valley. Several calls out there to NPS and to Curry Village
have resulted only in someone willing to fill out a lost+found report, not to actually
retrieve the backpack and do something with it.
If anyone is passing through the valley soon and could either (1) grab the backpack (which
I can exhaustively describe in terms of location and content) and drop it off at lost
and found or (2) pick it up and send it back to me, I be very grateful. I'll reimburse
any postage costs and include a shipping/handling/finders fee for #2.
Help?

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Supertopo.com forums are another option. Lots of Valley climbers on that site.
