TR: Cottonwood lakes 5/11-5/12
Quick TR.
Lot more cars at the TH than I expected. Didn't see too many people out there. Did a little loop and checked out lakes 1-4 before heading over to long lake for lunch, then camped along the south fork lakes. Hiked out along south fork on sunday.
No Mosquitos but a ton of small black bugs that almost looked like skeeters. Felt like high 70's during the day, 30ish at night. Trail was almost entirely snow free. Heck, the whole basin was pretty snow free. Going to be a DRRRRRRYYYYYYY summer

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Thanks for the trip report. I was thinking of taking my dogs up there in a couple weeks. Nice to see the conditions beforehand.

I know exactly where that tree is. Great photos and looks like a very dry summer.

Thanks for the TR Dave. Does show just how little snow is in the southern sierra . Love your travel gammon set . Used to carry one as well.
