Hi,
I'm just curious what software folks are using these days for topo maps.
I'm still on Topo! 4.0 by Nat Geo, and figured it was time to upgrade. Didn't like the looks of Nat Geo MapKit because it sounds like one would need to eventually renew a membership to alltrails.com. Couldn't really find anything else appealing either.
Would love something that gives access to both California and Nevada ( or anywhere, if possible)

Check out this site: http://mapper.acme.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I think you might like what you see and the price is pretty reasonable.

There's also this thread viewtopic.php?f=9&t=8574" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; on various approaches. You can also use the search function on "topo software".
Multiple threads on the topic and various SW.

Re: Topo Map Software
Thanks for the info guys. My main priority was to get Nevada added to my Topo and I didn't think this was an option anymore. Luckily I found a Nevada state series which should work, so I think I'm good for a while again.
I liked that ACME mapper too. I can see myself using that a bit as well now.
