One can screen shot it, but a "save as" with jpeg option would be really sweet
Yes, this would be a great option. Hopefully it is something Greg can implement
some where down the road.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

I looked into printing a bit further, and it appears doing so directly through your browser is a bit more complex than I would have hoped. I tried a few options and none were optimal solutions by any means (for instance incompatible with topo maps, or not compliant with all major web browsers). I'll keep looking into alternatives, including custom options, but it'll take some with no guarantees.

I am new to this site, so this may be an operator error issue ... the map area continues to come up blank for me, even when I make a selection for a particular attribute. Are there browser settings I configure in order to view the map?

Thanks

Hit barthu,
Please post your operating system and browser type/version, and please verify that javascript is enabled in your browser. In addition, does your browser work with google maps?

Greg - Thanks for getting back to me. System info:

- Windows 7
- IE Explorer 8
- Javascript enabled

And yes I can access Google Maps and with the link you provided. I use other similar mapping sites with no problems, so I am not sure what is going on here.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. BTW, I was able to successfully operate the interactive site on my wife's iPad.

Thanks for reporting this barthu. I can reproduce the problem with those specs, and see it is an IE8 specific javascript issue (earlier versions of IE work). I'll take a look when I get a chance and see what can be done.
