This past Saturday was a phenomenal day for photography in the northern Sierra. The standard clear summer skies were nowhere to be seen. Instead was a constantly changing cloudscape - brimming over with photographic opportunities.
I was in the Sonora Pass area early Saturday morning on my way to an overnighter (trip report later when I can eek out the time to process the photos & write it up ) ... and this is how my day started.
When a "photographer's" day starts like this they know it's gonna be a good day!

I hiked to Lamarck Col Friday. Glorious clouds all day...I was still shooting photos when I got home...rays of light, rainbows, etc. The only thing missing was a spectacular sunset.

Always nice to see those rays shining down. Nice shots to both of you.
