Lillian Lake in August
I'm planning a family backpacking trip to Lillian Lake in August. Can anyone help me get a sense of what the weather will likely be like? Specifically, the overnight lows. I'm trying to figure out if we can use the 40 degree bags we have, or if we'll need to get some 20s. Thanks!

Hi Ntutak
Welcome to HST!
At around 8800 ft your 40 degree bags will be fine. Night time temps have been running
in the mid 40's in that area now, and in August it will be higher.
Just be prepared for the mosquitos, because they will be out in force by then!

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Thanks maverick, that really helps. I'm a little concerned that my youngest may be turned off to backpacking by the skeeters, but I guess there is only one way to find out!

wasn't really mentioned, but a tent, and deet or head-nets might be prudent.
Fish there are supposedly small, btw.. Still a nice lake.
