Memorial Day Camping
Thinking of camping at Whiskey Falls. Anybody know what condition the road is?

Re: Memorial Day Camping
If you mean the Scenic Byway Whisky Falls, the road seemed to be open, but keep in mind I ran into snow at 6500 feet. That was weekend before last. Lots of campgrounds open to just beyond M. Pool turnoff.Strider wrote:Thinking of camping at Whiskey Falls. Anybody know what condition the road is?

The FS roads up north were open for quite a ways up. Maybe 5000' or a little higher. The dogwood was in full bloom except real high where they were not quite white, but close. The birds were singing, real nice and peaceful for a ride. Where I stopped, the small seasonal creek was bubbling and rolling along. All told, very pleasant.
Piece of cake.
