Does anyone know if I can use one of those self timer remotes on this model of camera? I have looked but it is telling me It only can be done using the self 10sec. timer which I currently use.
Someone had told me you can also use the remote...but I am not seeing that I can
Any ideas?

I bought the RS-60ES remote shutter release cable for my G10 that are also used on many of the Canon DSLR's. That requires a special minature phone jack connector. Use it on my closeup work most of the time so I don't vibrate the camera when taking shots. Note compact digital cameras rarely have remote shutter control features.
