Thanks Eric! That was a scary experience. I had thoughts of receiving a 'Bear Hug' a few moments after that shot was taken.ERIC wrote:well done.
I have a soft spot for the critter shots.

TB you should have at least got it to smile.
Buck I saw that photo on your Flickr site and thought of Torres del Paine too.
I had taken a similiar shot with my old Elain 2-e back in the early 90's.
Ediza's a great place for photography when the weathers bad or cloudy.

Man, that is awesome! The only thing that gave it away as a nighttime shot(other than your caprion) were the streaked stars. That was a multi-minute exposure, how did you do that with a digital? Most digitals only allow 30 seconds.
Here is my Vee lake/Seven Gables shot.

I don't recall the exact exposure time, but its on the minutes scale (don't have the original file handy to see). I've found there is definitely more noise in digital than film (although the new cameras now are pretty awesome). It can be dealt with to a certain extent but beyond that your stuck - you can't really see it with this size but I'd be hesitant to print something like this extremely large due to the noise.

This is either super super late afternoon, or extremely early evening, looking over the outlet of Evolution Lake, which was created.
