Are thier any groups or clubs that I could look into packing in the Sierra. My friends have been fun, but as time has passed they do not have the passion and resources I do and looking to meet new people and new hikes.
Thanks, ST

Re: Backpacking Club
You may end up meeting people off any boards you belong to. I've met a few people that way and there is also Meetup.com, there's at least one backpacking group there that I belong to. Hope this helps.

Hi Stickman and welcome,
Try these two, both should give you plenty of contacts.

Re: Backpacking Club
I definitely second the recommendation of the Sierra Club. The local chapter of the Sierra Club was a superb source of both organized hikes and potential companions for unorganized hikes (my specialty ) when I lived in California.
