Yosemite's Entry Permit Requirement

It seems like a bad move to me, to drop the reservation setup entirely when it is pretty obvious that the park will have to bring it back to some extent or face untenable crowd issues. So it would have made more sense to scale it back to reservations for the more popular days/times/periods, and no reservation at other times. Much easier and less controversial to make adjustments to an ongoing practice than to drop it and then have to bring it back.
