Napa Valley College

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Napa Valley College

Post by balzaccom »

I have taught in this program for 27 years, and I am very proud to note that the California Community College system has chosen to make it a poster child for how community colleges and local industry can work together to create a better community. Some of the best and brightest students I know, and they get to work with a really wonderful bunch of instructors. in fact, two of us have been singled out to receive the McPherson Distinguished Teacher award---the college's highest honor for instructors...

Congratulations! This hits close to home for me. I myself am a community college alum (Foothill JC in Los Altos) and my dad was a longtime instructor at City College of San Francisco. Many of his students went on to successful careers in Silicon Valley.
Since my fishing (etc.) website is still down, you can be distracted by geology stuff at: http://www.fresnostate.edu/csm/ees/facu ... ayshi.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
