From personal experience and the stories of others it seems that Martha Lake area is some sort of magnet for storms... Did the hail make the long talus walking any more slippery?
I'm glad you enjoyed the report. The area is one of my favorites of the Sierra.
Is it Martha Lake or Mount Goddard that is the magnet? Every time I'm in that area it seems like it's stormy.
I remember no negative effects from the hail. It seemed to make everything easier, probably because there was a lot of it and it wasn't melting much.
