Northern Desolation June 6, 2020

Post by brianA »

The idea was to climb Phipps Peak via the Lake Genevieve trail. Unfortunately we got turned back by snow at 8800-9200 feet. Not to mention it was one of those wildly windy, and cold days where, instead of seeking out a shady spot to rest, you always look for a sunny spot. Still it was a nice mix of rolling clouds, and blue sky, with an unusual wildlife encounter .1 miles away from the car.

Yep, the bruins have been out and about lately.
