Just got back from a little overnighter at Franklin Lake
The Aspens are starting to color up in the MK Valley!

Maverick, I did grab a couple of shots of the aspens as we were coming back down the trail to MK Valley....just in case someone wanted a color report.
Some of the trees are still solid green, many are yellow green and a few are almost solid yellow...didn't see any orange yet.

That is awesome! My first night ever in the backcountry was at Franklin Lakes in 1970 before hiking over the pass the next day. Here are a couple of shots I took at Franklin Lakes in 1986.
Is this snag still there? It is just above the lake near the trail.

That looks like it. Mine was taken looking west and yours looks like it was taken from the south looking north.
