FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

MONDAY, 20-APR-09, MORNING REPORT

VERY NICE EASTERN SIERRA WEATHER CONTINUES WITH MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES AND WARM TEMPERATURES THROUGH AT LEAST WEDNESDAY FOR THE OWENS VALLEY. FOR THE MONO COUNTY HIGH COUNTRY, A WEAK LOW OFF THE COAST WILL BRING WITH IT A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY STARTING IN THE AFTERNOONS ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. BY THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY A ELONGATED TROUGH OVER THE PACNW WILL SET UP A COOLER, WINDER AND WETTER PATTERN THROUGH THE WEEKEND FOR OUR FORECAST AREA.

FOR THE OWENS VALLEY:

TODAY: SUNNY BLUE SKIES. HIGHS IN THE MID 80S. WINDS S 5 - 10 MPH.
THIS EVENING: MOSTLY CLEAR. LOWS IN THE MID 40S. WINDS S 5 - 8 MPH.
TUESDAY: LOTS OF SUNSHINE. HIGHS IN THE MID 80S. WINDS S 9 - 12 MPH.
TUESDAY EVENING: MOSTLY CLEAR. LOWS IN THE MID 40S. WINDS NW 3 - 5 MPH.

FOR MAMMOTH LAKES:
