HST years

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

HST years

Post by cgundersen »

Hi Y'all,
I just realized that this is the 11 year anniversary of when I joined HST, so I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Eric and the myriad other folk who contribute to this forum. In the early days, Snownymph, Giantbrookie, Maverick, Trailblazer, Buck Forester, Moosetracks and a host of other folks with creative monikers offered helpful insights and inspiration. More recently, Roguephotonic & Mikhail have traipsed through areas that I either long to re-visit, or have never seen, but would love to.........and, the list goes on. Keep up the great work guys & gals!

I just checked, and I've been here a bit over a decade. I've learned a lot, and would like to think I've contributed as well. Thanks to all for such a killer site!!!

It's been a fun ride. Here's hoping we're still chewing the fat another 10 years from now!

There'll be a chip in our heads in a decade. All wi-fi enabled, and we can all meditate at the 2nd level. (look it up) :)

It has been a great ride though.. lots of new people and new ideas. Appreciate everyone who contributes immensely.

Seems nobody can agree on how many levels there are.

This site not only opened up a whole new and reliable source for information, it has also availed me some close friendships. Oh, and a girlfriend.

Based on what Eric said, if I can drag enough chocolate up to Chocolate Lake, I'll be very happy..........10 or 20 years from now. Can enough chocolate elevate one to level 2?
