Joshua Tree Mystery

Professional Sierra Landscape Photographer

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Who in their right mind would go hiking in J Tree in the middle of summer. And carry a gun. Sounds like suicide, or suicide-murder unless the gal went along with the plan from the start. Given the time it took to find them, they must have been really off-course or planned to be in an obscure location. Whatever, I would say case closed and whether logical or not. I hope the police drop it. At least the families accept this and have their own idea of what happened. I do not see further investigations helping any.

There has been a lot of this in the news down here in the OC since their bodies were found. I agree with WD. Hope that the authorities just leave well enough alone and let the families grieve in peace.

And that has made all the difference.

Here's another story that might shed some additional light on things. http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-m ... story.html
