I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Who in their right mind would go hiking in J Tree in the middle of summer. And carry a gun. Sounds like suicide, or suicide-murder unless the gal went along with the plan from the start. Given the time it took to find them, they must have been really off-course or planned to be in an obscure location. Whatever, I would say case closed and whether logical or not. I hope the police drop it. At least the families accept this and have their own idea of what happened. I do not see further investigations helping any.

There has been a lot of this in the news down here in the OC since their bodies were found. I agree with WD. Hope that the authorities just leave well enough alone and let the families grieve in peace.
