Heads up, tropical moisture associate with an Eastern Pacific tropical system could affect southern California, possibly the Sierra by the latter half of next week, please plan accordingly and check the weather updates periodically, don't get caught out there unprepared.
NWS:
The ECM is a bit more aggressive with the warm up during the mid to later part of next week compared to the GFS and is also bringing up some tropical moisture, at least into southern California, by next Thursday. If so, this would be moisture associated with the next Eastern Pacific tropical system ("Newton") that the ECM brings up the coast of Baja. How far north this moisture gets is very questionable at this time, so stay tuned.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Just saw this at the NWS site. This seems to fit the bill. We are headed out Labor Day for a 4 night trip Ansel Adams wilderness. Had two Sept trips last year impacted to the point of one being cut short by rain and/or sleet. We seem to bring rain with us!! Oh well.
