Your Best Photo of 2010 Contest! - pictures

Thought I’d revive an old tradition here at HST with a best photo of '2010 contest. IIRC, we had a similar deal some years back that was pretty successful. So here it goes...

Before anything else, you should know how to post photos to this site. If you don't, please read the sticky thread above that tells you how.

Prizes (and accolades) – provided by Eric
First prize is $20 gift card to REI plus a HST t-shirt, plus hellacious bragging rights!
Second prize is a HST t-shirt,
Third prize is 2 HST stickers.


SUBMISSION RULES -

1) Submissions are limited to a 3 photo maximum (in a single post), per member - posted here in this thread. Member submissions may be substituted at anytime up until the submission deadline. This contest is open to all members and admin/mod staff (excluding me).
2) Photos must be Sierra Nevada related, and captured in 2010. Again, this contest is open to ANY photo subject, so long as it was shot in the Sierra Nevada in '2010 and is within the terms and rules of posting on HST.
3) Deadline for submissions is June 1.
4) When posting, clearly name each photo you submit.

NOMINATIONS -

1) Starting June 1, I, markskor (PM me) will accept nominations from all the group of photos submitted (by name - see importance of #4 above) to be included in the final vote.
2) Only one photo nomination per member will be accepted, and you cannot vote for your own photos.
3) Nominations, (again, starting June 1), will be accepted by either PM'ing me or emailing (markskor at yahoo.com) your selection to me. Please include photo name and photographer name in your nomination correspondence.
4) Only the Top 10 nominated photos will be included in the final poll. It is possible a single photographer may have more than one photo make it into the final 10. If ties occur, the photo which was nominated first (time stamp of the email or PM) will be selected - so get your nominations in early!

FINAL VOTE -

1) The final vote will be conducted using a simple poll thread in this forum. Each of the 10 highest nominated photos will be reposted to the poll thread for easy evaluation.
2) The nomination process will close the day when Tioga Pass officially opens – then member voting (remember, you can only vote once) will start – lasting for 2 weeks more.
3) If two photos tie for 1st or 2nd place, a one week runoff poll will serve as the tie-breaker.
