Your best in 2006
We did this last year, thought I'd kick off 2007 with a similar post.
If you could choose one photo you took in 2006, for whatever reason....what would it be?
Its hard to choose, but mine would have to be from my Sphinx Lakes trip late in the year. A trip I had to turn back from earlier in the year due to flooding, this trip started off ominously. 3am wake up, 5 hr drive, my bear cub encounter, and on and off snow all day....ahhhh, sierra fun:

Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free . . . . Jim Morrison

Nice color and grasshopper action. Sabrina Basin was my favorite trip last year, sunrise at moonlight falls looking up at picture peak.

It is of course difficult to capture truly outstanding images in Yosemite Valley that stand out above those of others including the many professionals because it is one of the most photographed locations on our planet. This has been quite a great year for me like 2005. I ought to be getting back a half-dozen Tango drum scans any day now from work from the last half of 2006.

not from 2006, but a similar shot:
