It's a lazy Sunday, so i thought I'd poke around on some of the SAR sites.
Mono's site has really great report summaries at: http://www.monosar.org/operations.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It's interesting to get a feel for what kinds of calls they respond to. Looked to be ankles and knees mostly, and the most interesting part was the amazing use of cell phones to request help.
Inyo SAR site leaves a LOT to be desired.

Re: SAR websites
I am not judgeing anyone, or trying to be a jerk, but it would take both my legs to be toast before I would ask to be rescued. I would hop my butt out of there.

Re: SAR websites
besides you (sparky) hopping out on your butt, I'm amazed that the choppers fly so much. Inyo SAR seemed to be just having fun flying training missions. I know they are required, but throw some actual rescue data in.
Rethink your strategy sparky. Butt hopping would mess you up large.
