As others have already replied, the lake in question in one of the photos is Little McGee Lake. Here is another picture from lake level.
Also, here is a map (not sure where I found it, probably on this site) showing the Grinnell Hopkins ridge and the usual route across it I believe.
The route my son and I took was directly SSW from the larger Upper Hopkins Lake to the saddle, then directly south and contouring west to the large peninsula.
Six days would be a great trip, with multiple options for superb layover days. We wished we had that much time!
