An early season PCTer posted up a great trip report covering the section between Cottonwood & Kearsarge that he hiked last week between the two recent storms. He's got lots of photos, which give a good idea of conditions after the 5/8 storm event, but prior to the one that just came through 5/15. It's shocking how little snow there is, including these shots of Forester (both sides). Assuming even an additional 1' or so from yesterday, Tyndall south should still be pretty bare. Enjoy:

Thanks Hobbes, that's a great set of photos. It looks like the latest storm may last well into next week (shepherd Pass area: http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.ph ... V67InBHarV). Are you still planning on heading out for the Taboose to Kearsarge trip? I was hoping to hike over Shepherd next Thursday but may make alternate plans (Bishop or Piute, both easier in the snow).
