McGee Lakes
We are hiking north on the JMT this summer and we are thinking about visiting McGee Canyon and McGee lakes. From the map it doesn't look too difficult to head west from Saphire Lake, hike over the saddle and drop down into McGee Canyon. We would then continue North out of the canyon and meet the JMT at the east end of McClure Meadow. If you've done this route before, could you please pass on some of your info such as how difficult the climb up from Saphire Lake is, stream crossings, route finding, etc. Also if you've fished the McGee Lakes did you have any luck? Thanks for your input. js hill

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
