The Rim Fire is closing in on the Tioga Rd in the vicinity of Hetch Hetchy: http://www.inciweb.org/incident/3660/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
NPS will close the road east of Crane Flat as far as Yosemite Creek, Wednesday at noon: http://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/rimfire.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
So if you are going to the east side for the holiday weekend, you will need to take Hwy 108, which also has the possibility of being affected by the fire (though there are considerable effects to prevent the fire from spreading towards that road because of the homes in the area).

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Re: Road Closures due to Rim Fire
Hwy 120 outside the park reopened today (Fri 6) providing access to the Valley. But Tioga Road remains closed above Crane Flat so no access to Tuolumne Meadows yet.
