shuttle ride from South to North lake September 10
Hi All,
I am new to the forum and trying my luck with a question more people have.
On September 10, we will start our backpack hike from North Lake to South Lake. Plan is to drop the car at South Lake in the morning and to make our way from there to the start of the trail at North Lake (for which we already reserved a permit). Is there any one around looking for a shuttle too on that day so we can make arrangements?
Look forward to hear from you!
Arjan

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

I once arranged my own South to North Lake ride by leaving a bike locked up at South Lake and then fetching my car and passengers following a pretty quick ride. I've used this same bike trick to arrange many connections for loop hikes from one trailhead to another

There are only two in the group. We expect to be at south lake around 9:30. Let me know your plans so we might be able to make arrangements.
Best,
Arjan

Planning this same trip this summer leaving North Lake 7/26 and exiting South Lake 8/3. What are my chances of hitching a ride back to the trailhead at North Lake if I leave my car at South Lake first?

Not bad, especially if you offer some gas money.

Re: shuttle ride from South to North lake September 10
My friend and I hitched this 2 years ago in August 2012.
We just hung out for an hour in the SL parking lot asking around. A kind gentleman who wasn't even going to NL drove us there! (He was staying at Parcher's)
After we finished the loop, I was able to pay it forward and drive a couple over to NL.
I'd guess your chances of hitching are very good, especially if you have some time to wait.

Parchers is at south lake, you might be able to arrange something with them.
