Interesting concept, and only 6 ounces too.

I just use a gallon zip lock bag, but this looks like it might work better. The shape of the bag might help it double as a comfortable inflatable pillow, which would help justify the 6 oz weight. . . just sayin'.

hmm. where is all your food when you're using your bear can for a washing machine?

I just put my clothes in the lake or stream. no soap. Good enough while out.

Presumably your food is right beside you and your bear canister while you're scrubbing, so there shouldn't be any issue. But I follow Russ's approach. I hate soap-flavored food.

I've always used a garbage bag (which multi-tasks as waterproof covers for cloths and such) or my bear canister. I've tried to let the water sit in the sun for a few hours hoping the black color of the canister would help it warm up for bathing...no such luck. Never had a problem with bears eyeing my food while outside the canister during bathing, but I am cautious and do keep a watchful eye nonetheless.

I just use my old, trusty and crusty yellow collapsible bucket. Washes dishes, clothes and heat some water and add for a warm sponge bath.
