Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.
Well, I tried my hand at waterfowl photography last month. Here are a few shots at the local lake just
as the sun was hitting the water in the morning.
Cool shot of Morro Bay. I used to live there. On Zanzibar st. Have you been out to that lake around Oceano Dunes towards Guadalupe. I can't remember the name. There's a boardwalk that crosses the lake. Great place for bird/waterfowl shots.
That would be Oso Flaco Lake. I have been there, but not with my nifty 500mm lense. That will probably be my next waterfowl destination.
Took quite a few shots by moonlight of Morro Bay last night. We'll see how they turn out. Here is a moonlight TE from 3 weeks ago. Notice how the masts are blurred by the rocking of the boat over a 1 minute+ exposure.
