Wiggly animals in water

Post by tomba »

In July of last year, we were at the West Fork of Cherry Creek. The rocks underwater were slippery. I thought that was due to algae. Then we noticed that some wiggly animals were stuck to the body parts that had touched the rocks. Leeches? Yikes! A closer look at the rocky creek bottom revealed many small wiggly animals, a few millimeters long.

Make the video full screen, and maybe even enlarge it further to see them. Hit the replay button in the bottom left corner as needed.

What are they?

There is a "bonus" insect in the middle.
