I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Re: Tioga Road Closure Effective Today (9/18) at Noon
so... do any tioga pass experts have a guess when the road will reopen?
we are set to leave the bay at 6AM on friday to drive to the pine creek trailhead.
the NWS tioga pass forecast (https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.p ... 2534179687) predicts that the storm will continue today with little to no accumulation and peter out overnight, so i would expect it to open sometime tomorrow -- but it seems a bit unlikely that we would know by 6 AM friday, right?
108 isn't an option because the 395/108/sonora junction closure has been extended until 9/21 (also due to the storm).
so it seems that the only option besides 120/tioga would be going all the way up to tahoe and then down through nevada on the the 395 detour, which doesn't seem ideal.
just curious what any 120 prognosticators might think

YOSE posted that it has re-opened on 10:07am today. With some afternoon precip it might close again, but it looked like a dusting this morning from the mammoth crest.
