Because of impacts from winter storms, the Generals Highway is currently closed one mile beyond the Sequoia Park entrance station. There is no road access to the Giant Forest and Lodgepole. Call (559) 565-3341 for current road conditions.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Good news! The Generals Highway will open between Hospital Rock and the Giant Forest at 11 a.m. Tire chains or cables are required! The road between the parks remains closed.
Road conditions may change multiple times throughout the day. Call 559 565 3341 (dial 1, 1) for up-to-date information.
